You must be at least 25 years old. If the driver is less than 25 years old he must pay for underage (15 dollars per day).

Each person who intends to drive must bring a valid driver’s license to drive in, passport, and a valid means of payment (generally via credit card) and driver’s license.

All holds on debit cards funds are released upon return of the rental car if no damage or fees are owing on the hire.

The standard car rental insurance policies are Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP). They can be either included in the price, purchased from the car rental company or provided by the customer’s credit card company.

The minimum rental period of our vehicles is 3 days without any maximum of days.

Pets are allowed in rental vehicles. Customers need return their rental car in clean condition and free of pet hair .

Yes, wearing a face mask is mandatory for citizens and tourists for indoor places like supermarkets, stores, banks, etc. If you are not wearing a mask to enter these establishments your entry will be denied. Along with the masks it is required to use hand sanitizer on your way in. In public locations that are open you are not required to wear your mask.

Commercial establishments are open throughout the country during the week from 5 am to 10 pm and weekends from 5 am to 9 am. Keep in mind the majority of businesses request the use of face masks in order to enter, and the use of alcohol at the door, or wash your hands at the establishment sink. Everyone is trying to help each other so we can end this global situation.

There are daytime and night time vehicular restrictions in Costa Rica. Make sure you follow them so you don’t get a ticket. There are a couple of important exceptions to keep in mind, if you keep a copy of your vacation home reservation and car rental reservation, the local authorities will allow you to continue your journey without issue.

Day time restrictions: 
Mondays: License plates ending in 1 or 2 cannot drive.
Tuesdays: License plates ending in 3 or 4 cannot drive.
Wednesdays: License plates ending in 5 or 6 cannot drive.
Thursdays: License plates ending in 7 or 8 cannot drive.
Fridays: License plates ending in 9 or 0 cannot drive.

Night time restrictions:
Monday to Friday: Vehicular restriction will be from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Saturdays: Vehicular restriction will be from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. License plates ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 cant drive.
Sundays: Vehicular restriction will be from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. License plates ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 cant drive.

You need to haveat least 2 vaccines and the proof of the vaccination.
